Ezekiel 32:21-22

Biblical Context

A mighty power and its allies are shown as fallen. They lie in the underworld, slain by the sword, with Asshur and her company nearby.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the field of the inner scriptures, the 'strong among the mighty' are your most forceful desires and rigid self-concepts. They speak to the one who would assume control from the realm called hell—the unconscious habits that have run your life. They tell him that his power, measured by swords and circumscribed by the uncircumcised of old habit, is not real in the light of the I AM that you are. Now, notice that 'Asshur is there and all her company': that is the proud form your ego wears when it denies the true authority of I AM. But the surrounding graves are the evidence that these identities are buried, finished by a higher law. The sword that felled them is the whisper of awareness, the touch of inspiration that reveals a new alignment with God, not as a distant force but as your own I AM presence. When you claim that I AM and dwell there, you no longer serve these old powers; you walk in a renewed state, in which the entire spectacle of death and burial confirms your true sovereignty.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat softly, I AM. See the old ego-self as Asshur lowered into a grave while the I AM presence rises sovereign within you.
