The Inner Pharaoh Net
Ezekiel 32:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 32 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Pharaoh is depicted as a mighty force disturbing waters; God declares a net to ensnare him, casting him out and exposing him on the land.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture Pharaoh not as a distant ruler but as a stubborn state of mind—the lion of control, the whale of force that drags the streams of feeling into tumult. The waters you see in the parable are the currents of your own imagination, stirred by attachment and fear of loss. The 'net' Ezekiel speaks of is the boundary your current identity casts to hold life in a certain form. When God declares I will spread out my net, it means the higher awareness is gathering the mis-takes of self—one by one—until the old version is lifted from the land of your present sensation and left to the open field of consciousness. The birds and beasts are the natural consequences: the life that returns to you when you stop clinging to a false sovereignty. In this reading, judgment becomes a healing act: as you release the need to rule with force, you are free to inhabit a larger, truer sense of I AM, and your inner waters settle into peace. The kingdom of God is the awareness that you are always the ruler of your own inner weather.
Practice This Now
In the moment, close your eyes and imagine the inner waters calming as the net dissolves. Then rest in the sense of I AM, declaring 'I am king of my inner field' and feel it real.
