From Desolation to Divine Knowing
Ezekiel 30:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 30 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It speaks of desolation in the lands and cities, and then a turning to know the LORD is present within. The passage invites you to see that destruction of old supports clears the ground for true awareness to rise.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that Ezekiel speaks in the language of nations; yet in truth you are the author of every scene. Desolation in the land is a symbolic map of states of consciousness not yet awakened to the I AM. When I say set a fire in Egypt, I mean you burn away the habitual supports of fear, scarcity, and false security—the inner helpers that keep you identified with lack. The burning does not punish a neighbor: it purges the mental alleys that misrepresent who you are. As these helpers are destroyed, the space opens for a clear recognition: I am the LORD, and the LORD is basically awareness—the I AM that you are right now. When the inner fire consumes old judgments, you no longer have to chase external conditions to feel safe; you awaken to the Presence that animates all rivers and cities. The desolation dissolves into an inner quiet, and the knowing of the LORD becomes a living certainty in your chest, a present realization rather than a distant promise.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and, with the feeling of I AM, assume the state of the awareness that you are. Quietly declare I am the LORD within, and envision a gentle fire burning away limiting beliefs, then carry that clear, illuminated sense into your day.
