The Inner Mouth Awakening

Ezekiel 3:27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 3 in context

Scripture Focus

27But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.
Ezekiel 3:27

Biblical Context

God will open Ezekiel's mouth so he may declare, 'Thus saith the Lord GOD.' Those who hear are receptive; those who forbear are described as a rebellious house.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine Ezekiel as your own inner state: God does not speak to a distant prophet but to your awareness. When He says, 'I will open thy mouth,' He means the I AM within you, readying your mouth to voice a truth that already lives in your consciousness. The line, 'He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear,' describes the two states of your mind: the listener who is awake to the truth and the stubborn mind that resists it. They are a rebellious house—a habit-pattern in your subconscious that resists change. Your task is not to convince others, but to become a vessel through which the inner Word flows. By interior alignment—feeling as if the divine message were already speaking through you—you allow your external voice to reflect your inner certainty. The moment you accept that you are the I AM, the mouth opens and the words come forth with authority, regardless of outer opinion.

Practice This Now

Assume the state: 'I am the mouth through which God speaks now.' In quiet, feel the I AM as breath, and let a truth you seek arise as if spoken from within; then express it aloud or in writing as already accomplished.
