Read Ezekiel 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God will silence Ezekiel before a rebellious house, then open his mouth to declare the Lord's message. Only those who are willing to hear will hear; others may forbear.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider this not as history but as a parable of your own consciousness. The tongue that God makes stick to the roof of the mouth is the ego-driven voice that seeks to prove itself in the outer world. When God says, 'I will open thy mouth,' He is declaring that the I AM within you will speak through you when you are willing to be quiet and attentive to your inner order. The rebellious house is your conditioned self that resists the truth you already are. Your work is not to force an audience to listen, but to yield to the inner decree, so that your words carry the power of the Lord because they flow from the realized state rather than from habit. The real prophecy is your inner conversion—the moment you acknowledge that the source of speech is the I AM within and that your outer voice is but its instrument. When you assent to this, your outward words harmonize with truth and reach those prepared to hear.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, assume the I AM is speaking through you now, and repeat softly, 'Thus saith the Lord GOD' until you feel the inner conviction align with your breath. Then go about your day listening for the quiet, authoritative inner voice that guides your words.
