Glory in the Inner Plain

Ezekiel 3:22-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 3 in context

Scripture Focus

22And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.
23Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.
Ezekiel 3:22-23

Biblical Context

Ez 3:22-23 shows the prophet being led to a plain where the LORD speaks. He rises and goes forth, and the glory stands before him; he falls on his face in reverence.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this moment the 'hand of the LORD' upon me is the inexorable hand of the I AM pressing gently into my own consciousness. The plain is not a geography but a state of wakeful attention I can enter at any moment. When I arise and go forth, I am consenting to a dialogue that beats within the very center of awareness. The glory that stood there, like the same glory I glimpsed elsewhere in my mind's river—Chebar, perhaps—appears again as the radiant realization of my true nature. Falling on my face is not submission to a distant deity but the surrender of my small self to the larger I AM presence, the act of aligning with the truth that I am the one God who speaks. Each step into the plain is a revision of limitation, a turning away from fear toward intimate contact with the ever-present glory. The listener in me becomes the speaker; the speech is my own awakening.

Practice This Now

Assume 'I am now conversing with God in the plain of my mind' and feel the response within. Do this for 5 minutes, revising any belief of separation until the experience becomes real.
