Ezekiel 3:1-4 Inner Scroll
Ezekiel 3:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezekiel is commanded to eat the scroll, absorbing its message, then go to Israel to declare it.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Ezekiel, the roll represents the living word that must be ingested into the belly of consciousness. The act of eating is not hunger for physical food but willingness to become one with truth until it moves from mind into appetite, until the inner state tastes of sweetness--honey--in the mouth. When the scroll is thus assimilated, words flow not from fear or doubt but from the I AM that you are, and the command to go speak to the house of Israel becomes a manifestation of your inner state made outward. The 'house of Israel' is the collective patterns of your own thinking; to speak with God's words is to renew those thoughts with certainty, to align your external speech with your eternal self. Obedience isn't servitude but the fulfillment of inner certainty. Your vocation arises as you live from the vivified truth you have swallowed; what you deliver is the transforming assumption you hold about reality, and others become witnesses to your inner conviction.
Practice This Now
Assume you have eaten the roll of truth and are filled with its sweetness; in your imagination, address your inner Israel with the words you have swallowed, as if they are already spoken.
