I AM Confidence Restored

Ezekiel 29:16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 29 in context

Scripture Focus

16And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 29:16

Biblical Context

The verse says that confidence in outward things will no longer define Israel. Instead, they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

Neville's Inner Vision

Look upon the line as a doorway into the inner temple. The house of Israel represents a state of consciousness clinging to external proofs—the memory of iniquity, the comfort of familiar symbols. When the text says it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, it is not condemning geography but proclaiming a shift in awareness: the power you trusted outwardly loses its claim as you turn within. Then, they shall look after them, and remember their past actions; but the deeper note remains: you shall know that I am the Lord GOD. In Neville's language this is the awakening that the I AM, not any idol of the world, is the living God within you—the steady, unchanging presence that never abandons you. The recognition is experiential, not historical: as you dwell in this awareness, the old guilt and sense of separation fall away, replaced by a vivid certainty that God is Present as your very life. Your trust becomes faithful attention to the I AM here and now, and the covenant loyalty becomes fidelity to this inner ruler who is God, always.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM as your present ruler now. Feel it real by repeating I am the Lord God until this awareness settles as your sole reality.
