Gathering the Inner Egypt
Ezekiel 29:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 29 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Egypt represents a desolate inner land and dispersed faculties among the nations for forty years; at the end, they will be gathered back.
Neville's Inner Vision
Egypt in Ezekiel is not a mere land; it is a state of consciousness—dense, fear-bound, and habit-laden. The desolation and dispersion among the nations symbolize a mind scattered by worry, desire, and doubt, wandering away from its center. Forty years marks a season of maturation; outer conditions echo inner separation long enough for the self to turn inward and remember who it is. When the text says, I will scatter the Egyptians and later gather them, hear the I AM speaking to your awareness: I scatter you so you may learn to return to unity. Your true land is not the ruin of yesterday’s fears but the living presence you now acknowledge. When you assume the end—being gathered, restored, whole—you become the gatherer of your own inner country. The desolation dissolves as your attention rests in the I AM, and the dispersed thoughts are drawn back to a single, radiant center. Remember, the change is inner; you rearrange your outward world by reordering your inner state.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and mentally affirm 'I am gathered; I am restored' while visualizing the inner land becoming clear and whole; repeat for a few breaths.
