Biblical Context
Egypt will be utterly waste and desolate from Syene to Ethiopia, and no foot of man or beast shall pass for forty years. The land and its cities will be desolate, and the Egyptians scattered among the nations for that period.
Neville's Inner Vision
This vision is not merely a forecast about a distant land but a drama of consciousness. I am the I AM behind every decree, and Egypt here represents a state of mind—ruined, bounded by boundaries, and scattered within itself. The desolation and forty years mark a pause of imagination, a necessary clearing away of old pictures so a brighter pattern may form. The rivers and borders symbolize inner boundaries I have set; the tower of Syene to the Ethiopian edge denotes the wide reach of my habitual thought. When I claim this as my inner condition, external evidence loosens its grip and I am free to revise from within. The dispersion of the Egyptians is the breaking up of fixed identities until I awaken to my true self—the I AM—who can reorder perception and invite restoration. Thus judgment becomes a doorway to a higher alignment and lasting inner peace.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM watching over your inner land. Revise silently: 'I am not this ruin; I am the beloved I AM returning to abundance now,' and dwell in the feeling of that new order until it becomes real.
