Isles of Awe and Power

Ezekiel 27:35 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 27 in context

Scripture Focus

35All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
Ezekiel 27:35

Biblical Context

The verse speaks of distant lands and their rulers being astonished and troubled; it signals a powerful inner shift. It invites us to recognize that outer appearances reflect our inner state.

Neville's Inner Vision

I see Ezekiel's words as a map of my own mind. The inhabitants of the isles are the far-flung thoughts and beliefs that once ruled me, and the kings are the sturdy powers of fear and limitation. When I imagine from the I AM that a new state—wealth, harmony, healed relationships—already exists in me, these distant shores turn to witness and the old rulers tremble. Their countenance becomes troubled because they glimpse the power I let awake within me. This is no outer conquest but a renewal of awareness. Persist in the conviction that I am the source and the power, and the astonishment of the isles grows into quiet reverence; fear dissolves into recognition of the I AM that I am. The Presence of God within me answers with a still, assured Yes to every old limit, and the world follows my inward rearrangement.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and feel the I AM as your sovereign presence. Assume the new state, dwell there with feeling until the outer world reflects your inner change.
