Inner Daughters of Ezekiel
Ezekiel 23:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 23 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The text records the word of the LORD speaking to the prophet about two sisters, daughters of one mother, as an allegorical setup for inner dynamics.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the I AM within, this Ezekiel verse is not a history lesson but a map of inner states. The two women, daughters of one mother, stand for contending movements of your attention: the pull toward outward idols and the quiet hunger for true worship of awareness. When the word of the LORD comes again, it is the ever-present consciousness that speaks to your manhood - the 'Son of man' you are becoming when you awaken. Idolatry arises when you treat a thing, person, or opinion as the source of your life, and you worship it with fear or need. Holiness is your willingness to separate from that old allegiance, not by withdrawal from life, but by returning allegiance to the I AM, the one mother of all—that is, your unified awareness. The promise is that through this inner discernment you disidentify from the two sisters and enter a state where your thought is governed by the living, creative self you truly are. You are invited to revise your inner state and thus your outer experience.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and picture the two sisters as inner energies. Assume the I AM witnesses and enthrone awareness, feeling it real as your present state.
