Inner City Judgment
Ezekiel 22:2-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 22 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage commands the prophet to judge a city filled with bloodshed and abominations, exposing rulers and people for oppression, idol worship, and desecration of the holy. It explains that such behavior will bring shame and mockery.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the 'bloody city' is the weather of your consciousness when you identify with fear, guilt, and separation. Ezekiel's indictment is not about a distant place but your inner texture: redirect every act of 'shedding blood' into a release from fear and toward unity with I AM. The 'princes of Israel' are inner authorities you empower when you opine about others or dwell in grievance. The violations of father and mother, the stranger, the widow, and the holy things are inner distortions that profane the holiness you carry. The mockery from near and far mirrors your own judgmental mind. Yet the Lord GOD—your I AM—is always present, inviting you to revise. By choosing a different state now, and feeling it real, you revoke the old city’s power. You do not fight the outer world; you shift inward to a state of righteousness, justice, and sacred rest. As you persist in that assumption, the very texture of your inner city is renewed, and the old abominations dissolve into harmony with your true nature.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and affirm: I AM within me; I now revise this inner city to holiness and wholeness. Feel fear, blame, and cruelty dissolve as a new, just, and peaceful state takes root.
