Biblical Context
Israel is described as dross melted in a furnace, to be gathered and refined by God's burning anger until they become pure metal.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, this Zion and its furnace speak to your own consciousness. The 'house of Israel' is your current state of self-awareness; the dross—brass, tin, iron, lead—are the stubborn beliefs you have mistaken for self. The furnace is the focus of your attention, the place where images are stirred by your imagination until they melt. The act of gathering into Jerusalem is the turn toward the I AM within, where anger and fury are not punitive rages but catalytic heat that refines. As silver is melted in the furnace, so you are melted—not to be annihilated but to be returned to your true nature. When you feel the fire sweeping through your mind, know that the I AM is at work, dissolving limitation and revealing unity with God. This is not punishment but purification; you are waking to the fact that you have always been the I AM, and the heat simply removes what you are not. The result is knowledge that you are poured out in divine love, purified by fire into the image of your perfect self.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the consciousness of your purified self, breathing in the truth 'I AM.' See the old self—fear, doubt, limitation—melt away in a warm, golden fire until you are left as the steady I AM.
