Biblical Context
In Ezekiel 21:19-21, the prophet is told to appoint two ways for a coming siege, symbolizing a choice of inner paths that shape outer events.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Ezekiel, the two ways are not mere geography; they are states of consciousness. The sword coming from Babylon is the pressure of conditions that test the one mind choosing its direction. The two paths issuing from one land whisper that you may stand in fear or stand in faith; one route defends the city of your aim (your desired state), the other yields to the chaos of appearances. The king at the parting of the ways is your mind's habit of seeking outward divination—images, symbols, and proofs—rather than relying on the I AM that you are. When you insist on a single posture of awareness, you crystallize the path you will walk. The liver, the images, the bright arrows are the old signal system—the body's reactions and mental forecasts that try to dictate your state. But true power lies in assuming a future you desire as already real, and holding that end as your reality, thereby changing the inner weather until the outer siege loses its grip. Thus the two ways fuse into one under the sovereignty of your inner being.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare: I appoint this moment as the head of the way; I choose the path to my fulfilled end and I feel it now as real. If doubt rises, revise by returning to that end and dwelling in the feeling of already having arrived.
