Wielding the Inner Sword

Ezekiel 21:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 21 in context

Scripture Focus

11And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
Ezekiel 21:11

Biblical Context

A sword is prepared and sharpened, to be handed to the slayer. It is a tool of judgment ready for use.

Neville's Inner Vision

All the images Ezekiel casts before us speak not of outward events but of states of consciousness. The sword that is sharpened and furbished is the refined idea in your mind, the decisive circumstance you are now ready to entertain as fact in your inner weather. The hand given the sword is your own will, the inner slayer who acts upon a conviction you have allowed to mature. When the I AM within you furbishes such a blade, you are invited to wield it with awareness, not fear. The act of handling it is a movement of your mind toward discernment: you cut away what no longer serves, you trim away doubt, you shape a single, clear intention. Exile and return appear as the rhythm of withdrawing from misbelief and returning to the kingdom of your own awareness, where judgment becomes justice in your own life. Remember, God does not punish from without; He awakens by awakening your awareness. So stand in this truth: the sword is your idea rightly held, and the slayer is your choice to live by it now.

Practice This Now

Assume the sword is in your hand this moment and feel the weight of a decisive inner truth. Revise a current fear into a peaceful certainty and act as if this new belief is already true in you.
