Inner Sword of Consciousness
Ezekiel 21:1-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 21 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezekiel speaks judgment against the land and commands a prophetic act. Symbolically, the inner self is exposed to awareness so consciousness may realign.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, Ezekiel’s call becomes a domestic awakening. The word of the LORD arrives as I AM speaking in your consciousness, turning your inner Jerusalem toward truth. The sword drawn from its sheath is not violence but the instrument of imagination and discernment that reveals every belief in flux. When the Lord declares, Behold, I am against thee, imagine that the old self and its defenses are being exposed to awareness so they may dissolve. This sword moves through all flesh—from the depths to the heights of your mind—so that the entire field knows the sovereignty of I AM. The instruction to sigh with breaking loins invites you to release resistance and contract, to feel the emotions you have kept hidden. Then comes the tidings: change is coming, your heart melting, your limbs relaxing, your will reoriented. It is not punishment but invitation into a more luminous alignment, a truth that shall not return to former fear but remain as your enduring sense of being.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, assume you are already living with inner Jerusalem secured, and say I AM as your reality; reverse fear by imagining the sword of awareness cutting away old beliefs, then feel a new certainty rising in you.
