Ezekiel 20:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 20 in context

Scripture Focus

9But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
Ezekiel 20:9

Biblical Context

God acts for the sake of His name, keeping it unpolluted before the nations by delivering His people from Egypt. The verse points to the sacred bond and outward salvation that arises when awareness reveals God in operation.

Neville's Inner Vision

I tell you, the name he guards is not a title but your sense of I AM—the awareness that you are the living revelation of God. Ezekiel says, I wrought for my name's sake, to keep it unpolluted among the nations; this is your inner law: consciousness arranges circumstances to honor the One within. The 'Egypt' is your bondage of limit, doubt, and fear, and the 'delivery' is the moment your attention refuses to identify with lack and submits to the truth of I AM. When you assume the feeling of being already delivered, you are not petitioning God to act; you are allowing Him to act through your state of consciousness. Your present conditions fall away as the inner man awakens, for the I AM cannot be polluted by appearances, nor by time, nor by what the world calls history. This is covenant loyalty: you stay in the one state of awareness, and salvation follows as a natural outgrowth of that allegiance, in which your life becomes a visible proof of the Name within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat, I am the I AM; this Name is kept undefiled by all appearances. Feel the deliverance now, imagining you walk free from the Egypt of limitation.
