Ezekiel 20:40-41 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 20 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares that on His holy mountain all Israel will serve Him; He will accept their offerings and firstfruits, and sanctify them before the nations.
Neville's Inner Vision
View the 'holy mountain' as the living state of awareness you call I AM. The 'house of Israel' are the many parts of your mind, gathered in your inner land of consciousness, ready to serve when aligned with truth. The 'offerings' and 'firstfruits' are your thoughts, feelings, and actions—what you privilege in daily life. When you align these with your true being, God says, I will accept them and be sanctified in you before the nations, meaning your unified inner state reveals or proves the holiness within to the outer world. The gathering from scattered countries symbolizes reuniting dispersed faculties into one harmonious self. The ultimate sanctification is inner recognition that you are the temple of I AM, and when you dwell there, your life becomes a sweet savour to yourself and to others, reflecting God’s presence in all you do.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are already standing on the holy mountain of your consciousness, declaring, 'I am accepted by the I AM; my offerings are accepted, and I am sanctified now.' Feel the unity of your scattered thoughts returning to one mind; dwell in the sense of sweetness and approval, and carry that state into your day.
