Ezekiel 2:6-7 Inner Courage

Ezekiel 2:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 2 in context

Scripture Focus

6And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
7And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
Ezekiel 2:6-7

Biblical Context

Ezekiel is commanded not to fear those who oppose him. He is to speak God's words regardless of whether the people listen.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your Ezekiel is your own I AM, the living awareness that never fears. The 'them' and all the words they utter are inner pictures, the weather of a mind convinced by appearances. Do not be dismayed by the look of things, for the look is but a projection of your inner resistance. The command is not to shrink from duty but to speak the inner Word, to yield to the impulse of your divine imagination. When you assume that the Word you intend already exists in the heart of every listener, you liberate it from time and circumstance. You are not forcing change; you are awakening it from within. The rebelliousness of the many mirrors the stubborn habit of your own mind; you meet it with faithful repetition of your inner decree. Speak My words unto them, whether they hear or forbear, and you will find that your inner state determines the outer scene. The more faithful you are to the Word inside, the more the 'rebellious' world softens to your truth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and imagine yourself delivering the divine words as if they are already spoken; feel the I AM behind you, and revise fear until your heart knows the truth is already done.
