Ezekiel 2:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 2 in context

Scripture Focus

4For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.
5And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
Ezekiel 2:4-5

Biblical Context

Ezekiel is sent to a stubborn people to speak the Lord's message, and the act itself proclaims that a prophet has arisen among them, regardless of receptivity.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this passage, the stiff and rebellious house represents the stubborn states of your own mind. The Lord's call, 'I do send thee unto them,' is the inner invitation of your I AM to address those resistant thoughts and feelings. When you declare, 'Thus saith the Lord GOD,' you are affirming the authority of your higher self within and the reality that your imagination is the instrument through which truth enters your world. Whether these inner parts listen or refuse does not diminish the fact that there has been a prophet among them—the conscious awareness that speaks and thus proves its presence. The outer reaction is not the measure; the inner act of speaking the vision into your life is. This is the presence of God within you, manifesting as inner speech that confronts, commands, and creates. Your task, then, is to stand in that authority and allow the indwelling I AM to reshape the relationship between those inner states, until the prophet is known by all who inhabit your consciousness.

Practice This Now

Assume the role of Ezekiel’s inner prophet. In stillness, say 'Thus saith the Lord GOD' to your resistant habit and feel the I AM flooding that part with presence until it acknowledges you as the prophet within.
