Ezekiel's Inner Commission
Ezekiel 2:1-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezekiel is commanded to stand, the Spirit enters him, and he is sent to a rebellious people to speak the Lord’s words. He must not fear their resistance but eat what God provides.
Neville's Inner Vision
Stand on your feet in the inner man, for the call is not from without but from the I AM within. When the Spirit enters, you are set upright in consciousness and ready to hear what you are to say. Ezekiel’s mission to a rebellious nation is your own inner vocation: your state is the message you deliver. The ‘rebellious house’ are resisting habits and beliefs inside you; yet you are not deterred, for you speak from the living Word within. Do not fear their words or looks; the thorny thoughts and scorpion fears are only mental weather, not your reality. You are to speak My words, whether they hear or forbear, because the true listener is the inner I AM and the outcome lies in your fidelity to the word you have accepted. But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee: be not rebellious; open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. Open the inner mouth, receive the idea, and let it digest into your being; then your outer world will reflect that inner transformation. The prophet’s authority comes from alignment with the I AM, not from seeking approval in a doubtful outer arena.
Practice This Now
Practice: tonight, close your eyes, stand in the inner state of I AM, and say, 'I stand upright in Spirit; I am spoken to by the I AM within me.' Then imagine tasting the words as a nourishing meal and feel the inward change radiate outward until your surroundings respond.
