Inner Birth and Renewal
Ezekiel 16:4-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage portrays a neglected newborn who is not cared for, yet God revives it, and the person grows into beauty and adornment.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this scene, the nativity is your inner state. You feel unwashed and exposed, but the I AM passes by not to condemn but to speak Live. That word awakens you to what you already are: alive and capable of renewal. The divine decree multiplies you as the bud of the field, and you expand into excellent ornaments—new vitality, worth, and beauty arise as your thoughts and feelings take form. Where you once felt naked, you now wear the garments fashioned by your imagination: thoughts, visions, and habits that express your true self. Mercy is the present awareness that dissolves lack; it is not pity from without but the I AM informing you, Live, and thus you become a new creation. This renewal is a shifting of consciousness, not a struggle to change behavior; it is the inner recognition that you are always more than your former state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the I AM passing by your inner field, saying Live. Then assume you are already adorned with new inner garments and feel that renewal as real.
