Inner Birth and Compassion
Ezekiel 16:3-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 16 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jerusalem is described as born in a strange land and neglected at birth. Then God speaks life, commanding that she live.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, Ezekiel speaks of a birth defined by inner states, not by history. Your nativity is not fixed by the Amorite or Hittite lines, but by the conscious choices of the I AM you are. When you find yourself cast out into the open field of limitation, the I AM passes by and says Live. This is not condemnation but an invitation to revise the self you call real, to let purification occur within your awareness. The pity that never came from others is replaced by the inner recognition that you are seen and blessed by the Life within you. The moment you hear Live, you awaken to a new birth—a fully voiced Presence that can rewrite any past with the power of imagination. Imagination is the instrument by which you become aware of your true birth in grace. Your inner field can be restored, your identity reborn, and your life renewed by one decision: to let Life live as you now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of being already alive and blessed; repeat, 'I am the life I choose to be, born anew in grace.' Feel this Live as your immediate experience.
