Inner Prophecy: The LORD Within
Ezekiel 13:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse commands the prophet to confront those who prophesy from their own heart rather than from the LORD, stressing accountability for true guidance.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the 'prophets' are not distant messengers but inner voices born of imagination. They speak from the heart, yet their utterances are not the WORD of the LORD—they are products of ego, fear, and desire. The LORD here is your I AM—awareness that stands above thought. When a voice declares a definite future or commands your life from self-will, you are listening to a false prophet and you must prophesy against it by renouncing its authority. Assert that no inner forecast can override the Word within you. Take back your throne by assuming the state of the I AM, and revise the thought to: 'I hear the word of the LORD within me; this inner guidance aligns with divine truth.' As you dwell in that awareness, the external world rearranges itself to reflect that order, and the inner narrative is rewritten by the Word of the LORD, dissolving the fear-based prophecies that once governed you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and claim: 'I am the I AM; I hear the WORD of the LORD within me.' Stay with that awareness for a minute, letting all inner voices yield to this truth.
