Inner Scattering, Inner Knowing
Ezekiel 12:14-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God will disperse those around him and allow hardship to reveal their purpose. A faithful remnant is left to witness and declare God's name to the nations.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine Ezekiel’s sentence as a map of your inner ground. The scattering is not punishment so much as a rearrangement of your beliefs, a letting go of every wind-blown notion that distracts you from the I AM within. When you feel drawn away from old supports, do not fear; you are being prepared to know the LORD by direct experience rather than by outward proof. The sword that follows them is the cutting away of every thought that pretends it is you separate from God. Yet the text also promises a remnant - a few left - who remain to declare the abominations among the heathen. In your psyche this remnant is the still, witnessing self - the inner awareness that declares, 'I am the LORD' in every circumstance. Through dispersion you come to know that the I AM is the order behind all events; you recognize that your life is the stage on which God proves to you that you are consciousness, not cases of fortune. When you persist in the inner state, your world reflects that divine fact: God is the awareness here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'I am the LORD of this moment.' Then imagine the dispersing thoughts and people being rearranged into a clear inner order, and feel it-real by staying with the I AM until calm certainty remains.
