Inner Sanctuary Now: Ezekiel 11:14-16

Ezekiel 11:14-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 11 in context

Scripture Focus

14Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
15Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from the LORD: unto us is this land given in possession.
16Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.
Ezekiel 11:14-16

Biblical Context

In Ezekiel 11:14–16, the people are told they are far from the LORD due to exile, yet God promises to be a small sanctuary to them in the lands where they reside.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider this not as a history but as a law of your own consciousness. The exiles symbolize moments when you feel cut off from the LORD in the outer world, yet the LORD is not distant; the LORD is your I AM, the awareness that remains. When Ezekiel says God will be to them a little sanctuary in the lands they come to, hear it as inner directive: sanctuary is an inner state you cultivate, not a place you arrive at. Scatterings and distances are the mind’s theatre; your true address is within your own consciousness. By choosing to identify with the I AM, you create refuge in any circumstance. Your inner sanctuary is portable, a warm, quiet temple that travels with you through lands of challenge or abundance. Remember: imagination creates reality; tending this sanctuary is returning to God in you, here and now.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling: I am the sanctuary now. Close your eyes, breathe, and rest your attention in a warm, bright temple within you, carrying it with you into every place you inhabit.
