Scripture Focus

3Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
4Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory.
Ezekiel 10:3-4

Biblical Context

Entering the inner temple, the cloud fills the space, and the glory rises to the threshold, filling the court with brightness. It points to how inner purity invites divine presence into your life.

Neville's Inner Vision

Thus I read Ezekiel as a guide to the state of consciousness. The cherubim are your guardians of habit, the man is your attention, and the inner court is your mind. When you enter with the assumption 'I AM,' the cloud fills your inner court—the mind is cleared of discord and ready to receive; this cloud is a symbolic purging, a suggestive veil removed by imagination. Then the glory of the LORD rising to the threshold signifies a shift of awareness: the vibrational brightness of divine presence now stands at the doorway, not outside but within your own I AM. The house filled with the cloud and the court full of brightness show that your entire being is illuminated by the conscious presence you have assumed and felt real. There is no outer change to seek; there is only a changing of your relation to the I AM. Practice: assume the feeling of your temple already filled and let the light radiate into every room of your life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, 'I AM consciousness occupying my temple.' Breathe deeply and imagine a cloud of awareness filling your inner court until the threshold glows with the bright presence.
