Straightforward Spirit Faces

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezekiel 1:9-12 shows beings with joined wings moving straight ahead under the Spirit's guidance, while the four faces symbolize different aspects of consciousness that must harmonize.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Ezekiel's vision you do not witness distant machines of heaven; you witness the inner movement of your own consciousness. The four faces symbolize the totality of your being: the man for thought and image, the lion for courage and will, the ox for steadfast labor, the eagle for spiritual perception. Their wings joined speak of faculties aligned in harmony, so there is no turning aside as you move. The phrase they went straight forward and the Spirit led underscores a law of consciousness: when you align intention with inner awareness, your outward experience follows a single, unbending course. The Spirit is not an external agent but the I AM within you—the steady, aware presence that decides and directs. To "whither the spirit was to go" is to let imagination govern perception, to assume the state of the desired outcome and feel it real. You are not seeking in time what already resides in you as a state of consciousness. By imagining and maintaining faith in this inner movement, you cause the outer to line up with your inward direction, and your life proceeds without turning away from that forward path.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the four faces within you, their wings joined and pointing forward. Then declare: I am moving forward now where the Spirit directs, and feel that forward motion as already real.
