Whirlwind of Inner Presence

Ezekiel 1:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 1 in context

Scripture Focus

4And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
Ezekiel 1:4

Biblical Context

Ezekiel describes a powerful whirlwind coming from the north, a great cloud with fire, and brightness emanating from within the fire.

Neville's Inner Vision

On Ezekiel’s page, the whirlwind is not wind in the sky but a movement of consciousness stirring from the north—the place you have not consciously claimed as yours. The cloud is your thinking swaddled in awe, the fire infolding itself is purification and focus contracting into your awareness, and the brightness about it is the dawning I AM—the Presence that you are. The amber color, rising from the fire, is the golden assurance that your perception is becoming luminous with realization. In this moment you are not observing a distant divine act; you are witnessing the inner weather of your own being, where a new state of consciousness displaces the old. When you accept that you are the I AM, the outward symbol moves in your life as demonstration; you interpret events as arising from your inner procession rather than from chance. See the vision as a rehearsal of how you become aware of God within, and allow your imagination to sustain that awareness until it feels real.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM—become the awareness that witnesses the whirlwind. Picture it rising from the north, fire infolding, brightness shining around, and declare, 'I am this Presence now.' Then rest in that feeling-real state for a few breaths.
