Voice From the Firmament Within
Ezekiel 1:25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse portrays a voice arising from the firmament above as the figures stand with lowered wings, signaling a moment of higher, inner contact.
Neville's Inner Vision
That voice is not a sound in the air but a vibration of your own consciousness—the firmament of awareness speaking within you. When you stand still and let down the wings of outward striving, you are not surrendering your power; you are aligning with the one Presence you truly are. The voice comes from above because your I AM is always over your head, a ceiling and doorway at once, the exact vantage from which all images arise. In this light, the firmament is the steady state of consciousness in which all events are born, sustained, and resolved. Listen for the directive of your own being, and do not chase distant signs; acknowledge that you are already complete in the I AM. As you relax into that knowledge, the inner guidance settles into your chest and quiets the mind. The forms you see will shift to match the inner state you choose to dwell in—a state of trust, fidelity, and presence. Return to that listening place and do not depart until the voice remains unchanged: you are I AM, and I AM is speaking through you.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit in quiet, feel the crown of the head lift toward the firmament above, and softly declare, 'I AM.' Let the sense of being complete sink in; revise any doubt by affirming, 'This moment is the full presence of God within me.'
