Biblical Context
Ezekiel 1:12 depicts beings moving straight forward, following the Spirit’s direction without hesitation or turning aside.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine the verse as a map of your inner state. The 'they' are your inner faculties—thoughts, desires, memories—moving in harmony whenever the Spirit speaks. The Spirit is the living I AM within you, the immediate impulse of consciousness guiding your next action. When you yield to that impulse and go straight forward, you demonstrate faith beyond reason, for each forward step is the movement of your own divinely ordered state. To turn not when they went is to reject doubt and remain fixed in the assumption that you are already the state you seek. The outward journey then follows as a natural expression of inner alignment; Providence becomes the atmosphere of your mind in the present moment. Thus the verse becomes a practice: stay attuned to the inner signal, act upon it, and let your life conform to the inner reality you hold as true. In this way, you are the Spirit in motion.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes, rest in the I AM, and imagine your next step as already guided by the inner Spirit. Then act immediately in alignment with that direction, feeling it real.
