Opening of Heaven by Chebar
Ezekiel 1:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezekiel, among the exiles by the river Chebar, sees the heavens opened and visions of God; the Lord speaks to him and the hand of the Lord rests on him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture Ezekiel as your own awake mind. The opening of heaven is a shift of state, not a distant event; when you say I AM here, imagination becomes the felt reality of what you affirm. The river Chebar marks the current of memory and belief by which you move between appearances, yet the hand of the LORD upon him is the I AM actively supporting the image you now choose to inhabit. The word of the LORD that comes expressly is your inward directive to trust a fresh image; listen to that inner speaking and act on it. The visions are inner awakenings you manifest through deliberate assumption. Exile is only a belief you revise by adopting a new self-image. Rest in the certainty that you are the seer, attended by God, receiving visions as you dwell in a renewed consciousness. When you persist in that state, outward circumstances rearrange to reflect the inner light you have embraced.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the state of being the seer by the river Chebar. Feel the heavens opening inside you and rest in the I AM here, letting that truth saturate your days.
