Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Exodus 9:4-6 records that the Lord will separate Israel's cattle from Egypt's, sparing Israel's while allowing Egypt's to die, at a divinely appointed time.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within every man there is an I AM, and the outer plagues of life mirror the inner state that prevails. Exodus 9:4-6 translates the physical separation of cattle into a spiritual truth: your awareness can sever one pattern of life from another. The cattle of Israel, protected and untouched, symbolize the living, enduring states of consciousness that belong to the children of God—awareness that does not die when circumstances fall away. The cattle of Egypt represent the dying, reactive conditions that perish when you refuse to identify with them. The Lord’s set time is a moment of decision in your own imagination, a decree you give to your inner world: Tomorrow this thing shall be accomplished in your land. When you accept that the I AM is acting now, the same event unfolds: the outer world marks the death of the old condition while your true self remains intact. The miracle is not in the external plague, but in your realization of divine order—the severance between two states of being is accomplished by your attention and belief.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling that you are the I AM. Revise your inner state to let the Israel cattle live and the Egypt cattle perish in your imagination.
