Exodus 9:1-2

Biblical Context

God commands Moses to tell Pharaoh to let the people go so they may serve Him; refusal keeps them in bondage.

Neville's Inner Vision

Pharaoh is the stubborn ego, the throne of limitation within you. The decree Let my people go is the I AM within you commanding the release of captive states—fear, habit, and the past—so all your faculties may serve the one Life. Moses, your imagination, carries the living word from the I AM to the subconscious and goes to the seat of resistance. Going in unto Pharaoh is turning the light of consciousness to the source of the problem, the belief that you are bound. If you refuse to let them go and wilt hold them still, you are feeding the illusion of separation, keeping your inner kingdom divided. Deliverance comes when you consent to release, and the captive thoughts and feelings are returned to the harmony of the I AM, and your life expresses service to the divine will. The exodus is a shift of state: as you assume freedom, your world unfolds in alignment with your true nature.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the state I AM free now. See the Hebrews stepping out of bondage in your mind as the Pharaoh within dissolves into awareness, and feel your life serving the one I AM.
