I Am Your God: Inner Liberation
Exodus 6:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Exodus 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God promises to take Israel as His people and to be their God, delivering them from the burdens of oppression.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the scene not as history but as a state of consciousness. 'I will take you to me for a people' is not a geographical relocation but an inner alignment: you are invited into a fixed relationship with the I AM, the awareness that you truly are. 'I will be to you a God' means the awareness within you becomes the ruler of your inner weather—fear, doubt, burdens—transformed by the felt presence of your own divinity. The 'LORD your God' whom you shall know is the living I AM within; He does not come from without, but awakens within as you persist in the assumption of that relationship. The deliverance from 'the burdens of the Egyptians' is your liberation from what you have allowed to bind your mind: limitation, lack, old stories. When you dwell on the inner truth that you are already 'taken' and claimed, your external world aligns to reflect that inner covenant. The key is not effort, but a settled feeling of being owned by that I AM and of owning nothing but that state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the state now. See yourself taken to God as His people, and let the I AM breathe into every thought until burdens melt away.
