Neville's Inner Vision
Exodus 5:12 presents the scene of the people scattered through Egypt, compelled to gather stubble instead of straw. In Neville’s psychology, this is not a history of oppression but a map of consciousness. Egypt stands for the old belief system that treats lack as real, and the labor is the mind’s attempt to construct security from scraps. The stubble is the residue of past conditions the mind uses to shape experience, while straw—the true supply—has been displaced by fear. Your real supply is the I AM, the unchanging awareness that remains when you stop negotiating with appearances. When you feel scattered—divided by doubt, fatigue, or fear—do not try to change people or places. Change the state you occupy. Assume the feeling that your wish is already fulfilled, and dwell there until it becomes your present awareness. As you revise and feel it real, outer scenes rearrange to reflect the inner order. The labor you endure then becomes a sign that you are turning from lack toward the one presence within you who creates reality.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, rest your hand on your heart, and declare I AM the source of all I need. Then imagine a scene where your need is already met and feel it as real in your chest for a minute.
