Read Exodus 40 in context

Scripture Focus

33And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
Exodus 40:33

Biblical Context

Moses finished the work by rearing the court around the tabernacle and altar and setting the gate. The outer space is complete, ready for the Presence to dwell.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here we witness completion, not of stone alone but of the inner layout of your being. The court around the tabernacle and the altar represents the boundary you consciously draw in your mind between the ordinary and the sacred. The hanging of the court gate is your decision to guard what enters your awareness. When Moses finishes the work, the inner sanctuary is ready to receive the Presence; the Presence is God understood as your I AM, the awareness that simply is. The tabernacle stands for the truth you carry inside; the altar stands for the past sacrifices you release; the court is the lived field where your life is ordered by true worship. Covenant loyalty is the constant alignment of thought, feeling, and action with that single Reality. The outer work is completed so that the inward Presence can dwell without interruption. In you, as in Moses, the finished work invites a living, continuous Presence, not as a future event but as your present state of awareness and power.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the inner builder's stance; declare, I have finished the work. See the gate hang at the entrance and feel the Presence filling the space around your inner tabernacle.
