Door of the Tabernacle Within
Exodus 40:12-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Exodus 40 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage describes washing Aaron and his sons, clothing them in holy garments, and anointing them to minister; the rite establishes their priestly role.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that the rite is inside you, a movement of consciousness. Washing represents cleansing belief of fear and doubt until it is no longer identifying you. The holy garments are a changing dress of perception—truth-minded, clean, consecrated to alignment with the I AM. Anointing is the felt infilling of your being with divinely authorized presence—the certainty that you are the priest, the instrument through which the divine speaks to life. Sanctification is choosing to be set apart from old habits and to serve the inner covenant rather than ego's demands. When you minister unto the I AM in the priest's office, you invite your awareness to govern every act. The everlasting priesthood is a state of consciousness you renew in each moment, not a lineage of time. Begin now: wash by dropping misbeliefs, attire yourself with faith, anoint with the feeling I AM, and stand at the door of your own sanctuary as the minister within. Your experience shifts from reaction to ruling presence, and you behold God within.
Practice This Now
Stand at the door of your inner tabernacle and wash away fear with the water of awareness, clothe yourself in the garment of faith, and anoint yourself with the I AM presence, declaring you are priest and Presence here now.
