Neville's Inner Vision
In you, the I AM is the altar; to anoint is to acknowledge and invest your awareness. Sanctifying the altar means separating your center of consciousness from ordinary thought and consecrating it to sacred purpose. The altar of burnt offering symbolizes the point where you offer your life, its vessels—your thoughts, desires, and actions—into service of the divine pattern. When you anoint it, you invite the Presence to govern your inner space, making the center a temple of holiness. You are both priest and temple; the oil is your attention focused in the I AM, the vital force that sanctifies every vessel. Each moment of alignment, each feeling-like-reality of being holy, reinforces that God is present within. The outer acts of life become sacrifices refined by consciousness, not by ritual alone. Your inner altar, once sanctified, remains a resting place for the Presence, through which all events are perceived as expressions of the one I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, and in a still moment, anoint your inner center with the awareness 'I AM.' Hold that recognition as you imagine your thoughts and feelings becoming holy vessels, now devoted to the Presence within.
