Exodus 4:22

Biblical Context

God declares Israel his son, the firstborn, signaling a covenantal relationship. The verse invites you to see your inner life as equally claimed by God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Israel is my son, even my firstborn is not a historical statement but a present-destined state of consciousness. Pharaoh represents the stubborn belief you are separate from the Divine; confronting Pharaoh with the words, Thus saith the LORD, is the inner act of the I AM testifying to your true nature. When you identify with Israel—the firstborn you awaken to your birthright—you align with the covenant of your own awareness. The inner king awakens, and the sense of limitation dissolves as you realize you are not a person roaming a world, but the living consciousness that animates it. The deliverance comes not by outward change but by a change of state: you choose to treat yourself as the son, the beloved, the authorized ruler of your inner and outer affairs. Speak to your inner Pharaoh from the mouth of God within you, and let the feeling of, “This is true now” become your new memory. As you persist, the inner scene rearranges itself, and your world follows the reality you have assumed.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM as your present condition. Speak softly to your inner Pharaoh: 'Israel is my son; I am firstborn,' and feel that truth as real now.
