Scripture Focus

2And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
Exodus 4:2

Biblical Context

God asks Moses what is in his hand; Moses answers, a rod. The verse invites us to see the ordinary as the instrument of the extraordinary within the present moment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the LORD as the I AM within you, asking, What is that in thine hand? The rod is not a mere stick but a state of consciousness you already possess. Moses names it; you name your own tool—skill, habit, belief, even doubt. Power does not come from somewhere outside you; it flows from the I AM that animates your awareness. When you answer 'A rod,' you acknowledge you already stand at the edge of action with a usable instrument. Now imagine turning that rod into a tangible act of divine will: you use it to guide, to reason, to heal, to create, according to your present faith. If you doubt, revise the image until you feel it real—see the rod glow with consciousness, hear its authority within your mind, and enter the feeling that you are already moving with God through it. The ordinary becomes miraculous as you align your imagination with what you affirm yourself to be.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat: I am the rod in the hand of God. See the tool in your hand, feel its power, and act today as if your ordinary skill is the very instrument through which the divine moves.
