Biblical Context
Exodus 37:13-15 describes the showbread table with four gold rings at its corners and rings for the staves to bear it; the staves are wood overlaid with gold to carry the table. This design makes the holy nourishment portable, ready to accompany the people as they move toward sacred intent.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within your life, the table is the nourishment of your being—the bread of truth God places before you. The four rings are the fixed points of attention you use to secure that nourishment as you move. The staves are the acts of imagination you lift with your will, carrying the holy nourishment from space to space, moment to moment. The gold overlay signifies the priceless value you assign to this inner supply; it is not external ritual, but a state of consciousness you consciously carry. The border against which the rings rest marks the boundaries of your current view, yet mobility is built into the fabric: you can relocate the table by choosing a new focus, a newer feeling, a stronger assumption. So you become the priest who carries the inner showbread, trusting that the Presence is always with you, within your I AM, awaiting your deliberate assumption. By feeling it real, you invite the divine to residence in your life as a portable sanctuary.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, place a small golden table before you, attach four rings to its corners, lift it with four imagined staves, and feel the bread of life resting on it as you declare, 'I AM that I AM,' carrying Presence wherever you go.
