Biblical Context
Bezaleel, Aholiab, and wise-hearted men are endowed by the LORD with wisdom to build the sanctuary, and Moses calls them to begin the work. The passage points to divine empowerment and the invitation to act.
Neville's Inner Vision
Behold that Bezaleel and Aholiab are not external men alone; they symbolize the craftsman and the wise-hearted faculties within you. When the LORD puts wisdom and understanding into their hearts, He is saying that the I AM in you already possesses the capacity to form and to do according to divine pattern. The sanctuary is not a temple of stone but the chamber of your own awareness—the state of being in which truth can dwell. To work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary is to align every act of your life with the image of your highest good. The call of Moses to bring forth laboring men who are stirred to come unto the work is your inner impulse rising to cooperate with the divine plan. The wise-hearted man is the attitude that welcomes inspiration, trusts the imagination, and acts as if the command is already given and the work already done. Begin from the end in your mind; dwell in the feeling of having built the sanctuary, and your outer life will reflect that inner architecture.
Practice This Now
Assume you are the builder of your inner temple; for a few minutes, imagine Bezaleel shaping your life from the inside, and then declare I am endowed with wisdom to do this work now.
