Biblical Context
God declares a covenant and promises remarkable works to be seen by all. These holy acts signify divine presence guiding the people.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this verse the covenant is not a contract etched in stone but a decision of consciousness. The I AM within you proclaims the marvels, and the world must match that inner decree. The 'before all thy people' signals that every state of mind will bear witness to what you hold as real. So the marvelous works are inner transformations first, then outward appearances. When you refuse to question the miracle and instead dwell in the assumption that the covenant already stands, the fear dissolves and power returns. Faith acts as a radiating center; imagination becomes the instrument through which the unseen is seen. The 'terrible thing' is not dread but awe—the recognition of how potent your inner focus is when held steady. You are being invited to align with your higher self, to let the I AM rewrite your scenes. In short, this verse is an instruction: the only place to begin the marvelous is within, and from there the outer becomes the echo of your assured inner state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, breathe 3 times, and silently assume, 'I am in covenant with the I AM; marvelous outcomes are mine now.' Throughout the day, revise any fear by replaying the sentence and feeling the triumph as if the marvel has already occurred.
