Exodus 33:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Exodus 33 in context

Scripture Focus

17And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
Exodus 33:17

Biblical Context

God affirms He will do the thing Moses asked because Moses found grace in God's sight and is known by name.

Neville's Inner Vision

Moses represents the awakened I AM within you. When the Lord declares, I will do this thing, He shows that your inner state—the grace you have found—governs outward movement. To be known by name is to recognize your true self as the I AM, a personal, intimate presence the Divine acknowledges. The grace spoken of is not earned from without but awakened within as a favorable disposition of consciousness that invites action. The presence of God is the steady awareness that you are the one who speaks the decree and the one whose life flows to meet it; God replies to your inner word by drawing events into alignment with your state. Covenant loyalty is your fidelity to remain in that state, to return to the vision until outer circumstances reflect it. You are told that your spoken word, backed by inner grace and the intimate naming of your I AM, becomes the architecture of your reality.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume you are already known by name in the I AM sight, and say in your heart, 'This is done.' Then hold that feeling as real for a few minutes, letting the inner state inform any outward appearance.
