Turn Within: The Burning Bush Moment

Exodus 3:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Exodus 3 in context

Scripture Focus

3And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
Exodus 3:3

Biblical Context

Moses notices a bush that burns without being consumed and decides to look more closely, signaling a call to turn attention inward.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine Moses not as a distant figure, but as a state of consciousness inside you. The bush that burns and is not consumed is the sign that a divine idea lives within awareness, not something seen with the eyes but felt as inner movement. Moses asks to turn aside, which is your cue to redirect attention from outward appearances to the inner light. In this light, the world is a mirror of your inner state: the more you linger on the surface, the less you perceive; the moment you choose to turn aside, you invite the Presence to present itself as I AM here and now. The bush burns without being consumed because the flame is the vitality of consciousness, not a force to destroy. Your vocation, your prophecy, is already within you as a living possibility; you awaken it by assuming its reality, feeling it as real, and acting from the inner conviction that you are that which you seek. When you do, the 'great sight' becomes your perception of life from the inside out.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, and in the stillness, declare: I turn aside from outward appearances to see the Presence within. Imagine the inner flame vividly—burning but not consumed—and feel the reality of my vocation already alive in me.
