Exodus 3:21-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Exodus 3 in context

Scripture Focus

21And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:
22But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
Exodus 3:21-22

Biblical Context

God promises the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; they shall depart not empty, borrowing jewels and raiment as they go.

Neville's Inner Vision

I am the I AM, the living consciousness behind all events. The Israelites are states of mind waking to freedom; the Egyptians are old conditions of lack in my outer world. When I assume the feeling of being already favored, I empower the inner motion that carries me forward; the outer scene must reflect that inner conviction. Favor is not something bestowed from without but a return of my own assumption. I depart with wealth because I have imagined wealth as mine and carried it as a garment of gratitude. To spoil the Egyptians is to shed the old beliefs that bound me, replacing them with the riches of faith and resourcefulness. This exodus occurs in consciousness, not in history; as I hold the vision, I am led to the provision and guidance I seek. All provision, all salvation, flows from the simple act of saying, I am already provided.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare I am favored now. Then vividly imagine receiving silver and gold from a neighbor, feeling gratitude as if the wealth were already mine.
