Exodus 3:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Moses doubts his ability to lead, and God responds that He will be with him. The passage highlights inner assurance that comes from divine presence, with the journey culminating in service on the mountain.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the scene is not about outward feats but a shift in your state of consciousness. Moses speaks out of a limited self-image: 'Who am I?'—the classic objection that arises when a call appears. God answers with a simple fact: 'I will be with thee.' This is the I AM speaking through you, the constant awareness that survives every fear and doubt. The token is not a future sign but the inner guarantee of companionship—the assurance that your work will be done through your oneness with the divine presence. Egypt is the old dream of separation and lack; the mountain is your current mounting consciousness where you serve God. When you stop looking to your own strength and align with the I AM, the deliverance of your life unfolds as an inner revision. You are not asked to become someone else; you are asked to realize you are always with God, and God is with you, now. The mission becomes natural, simply carried out as you live from awareness rather than striving.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume you are the vessel God is sending; close your eyes, feel the I AM presence with you, and revision your self-image to 'I am with thee,' letting that certainty guide every action.
