Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God promises to dwell with Israel and be their God. In that dwelling they will come to know Him as the LORD who freed them from Egypt.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inward sense, Exodus reveals that God's presence is not a distant escape but a realized state of consciousness. God is not outside but the I AM you awaken to; the Israelites' camp is your own mental arena where you choose to honor the Presence. To dwell among them is to let awareness become the temple, a sacred space where no fear or old bondage can colonize. When you hear 'I will be their God,' hear it as your recognition that you, the person thinking and feeling right now, are not separate from Source but the living expression of It. The line 'they shall know that I am the LORD their God' points to experiential knowledge, not memory—the moment you refuse to define yourself by Egypt's bondage and instead live as the liberation you already are. The Exodus is the shift from identification with lack to the certainty that the divine Life is within you, ready to guide, protect, and fulfill. The covenant loyalty and holiness are your daily alignment with this inner Presence, a commitment to keep the I AM central in every thought and feeling.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and say to yourself, 'I am dwelling in the midst of my being now.' Feel the presence settle in as the I AM and let your sense of self shift to the inner temple where you are home.
